Girl Emo Hair: Snagging that Edgy Emo Look

Music that is composed of soft airy voice, wicket guitars with
complicated dynamics that start as melodious the rise up to louder, more
complicated notes, then falling off again to a dramatic pitch; Poem-like
lyrics that transpire messages of pent-up confusion, depression, anger
and above all, the delightful torment of young love. Kids in black
shirts, slick skinny jeans and worn-out chucks, sporting accessories
that reflect their taste for the eccentric, the dark and the broken;
these are the ingredients to the unique, interesting brew called Emo
culture. The Emo culture originated in the early 1980’s with the event
of bands that create music that is a far cry from the ones played by
traditional rock bands. Such music if followed by a trend, which
eventually transformed into a lifestyle, which is clearly depicted in
the music, the clothing and above all, the hair.
Though suppresses pain and torment are dominant parts of the Emo
culture, for girls who wish to snag that edgy Emo look, the steps to be
followed are relatively easy and best of all, painless. First off, one
must have the right haircut. One must let their hair grow long, at least
past the ears and have it chopped off into a blended crop. The fringe
must be of the proper length, which is longer than the rest of the
haircut, going past the nose, but refrains from touching the bottom of
the face.

The next step would be to create interesting layers on the hair. To
ensure even layers, one must utilize a razor comb or a straight razor.
One can straighten the hair or hold the design with an extra-hold hair
gel. Girls with naturally curly hair may want to consider having their
hair straightened in order to fit most of the basic emo hairstyles. To
add some spunk to the haircut, some color can be added. Experimenting
with various emo hair colors can be quite fun as there are no set
standards to be followed, ones imagination therefore is their limit.
Random streaks of different rainbow colors or a solid shade that is
different from ones original hair color can be used.
After cutting and coloring the hair, it is now time to accessorize.
The emo chick must be careful in accessorizing as overdoing it can cause
one to be the laughing stock of the community, or worse, it can make one
look like an emo poser. Emo hair accessories should be unique and
inventive such as hairclips randomly placed on the hair. Finally, the
emo chick can add the last and the most important part to the emo
hairstyle: the attitude. |
